Just settling down in Powell River for the Thanksgiving weekend. It's so calm and relaxing here, in a small town right on the ocean. Sunsets over the Georgia Straight are beautiful and the weather is perfect.
So, we had to make a late night trip to pick up Laura's cousin from the terminal ferry after midnight, because ferry trips had been canceled all day. Then, we were up before the dawn to catch the first boat up the sunshine coast. Unfortunately, we missed the first boat due to lack of coffee and sleep, and got to have a nap at Horseshoe Bay. Then, we were able to take the second ferry and finally arrived before 2:00. The drive was beautiful, the ferry rides were short and scenic, and the sun came out to warm us in the afternoon/ Looking forward to the rest of a relaxing weekend!
